What you get
Komga is a comic server you run yourself. TritonPanels talks to that server directly: the address and the sign-in stay on your phone, and the requests go to your server, not to TritonApps. On iPhone and iPad the system asks for Local Network permission the first time you reach a server at home.
Once the server is connected you can browse libraries, search, and open a book. Keep offline downloads a book, a folder or a whole library for reading without the server. The Komga setup guide has the address, API key and troubleshooting steps.
Reading progress, both ways
On Komga, reading progress is kept in step with the server in both directions. Mark a book read on the phone and Komga sees it. Pick up the same book on another device that uses the same server and the place comes back. There is no TritonPanels account and no separate cloud for progress. If you are not using Komga or Kavita, progress stays on the device. See syncing reading progress across devices.
iPhone, iPad and Android
TritonPanels runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 17 or later, and on Android phones and tablets with Android 7.0 or later. There is no Mac app and no web reader. The same subscription covers the phone and the tablet.

How the books read
A Komga book opens in the same reader as a file on the phone: single page, double page, continuous scroll, or Panel by Panel. Manga can run right to left for pages, spreads and panels. RAR5 CBRs still will not open; that is a file problem, not a server problem.
Kavita and OPDS
Kavita is the other server with two-way progress, using an Auth Key. OPDS catalogs, including Calibre, can be browsed and read, and progress for those stays on the device. The Kavita reader page and the OPDS reader page cover those separately.
